I currently work in the Manchester School district and have been there for 8 years. I have taught a variety of grades at the elementary level, ranging from a multigrade k/1 class to 4 grade and everything in between. I love teaching, I love kids and I love making a difference!
I have been exposed to various reading strategies and approaches throughout my years of teaching. I have also been exposed to various types of students ranging from students in the mainstream classroom to those needing specialized reading instruction in a resource room type setting. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
