Barbara structures each lesson so that my 9th grade son can work along and feel successful at the end. She is very patient but does require him to demonstrate what he is learning. I am very pleased to have found a tutor that can work with him so well.
My son has only had two tutor sessions with Barbara and already is more excited about reading. She uses multiple strategies to keep him interested during the session. He looks forward to her visit each week. I highly recommend Barbara as a tutor.
Thank you so much Jennifer. I thoroughly look forward to our sessions as well.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
