Mathematics is my passion, and by using a sense of humor and encouragement, I have been able to help many struggling students.

We have employed tutors in the past to prepare our son for his upcoming school year. Diane has been the most professional and prepared instructor thus far. She is patient when working through areas of opportunity and strengths, and easily recognizes and communicates trends. She is current with her knowledge of the school system curriculum and uses educational resources which are in line with what my son will encounter. Overall, we are very pleased with our experience, and our son thinks she's great too!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have taught in a classroom setting in grades 4 through 8 and as a private tutor for grades 2 and 3. I have additionally completed a masters in environmental science from Antioch University. I have additionally completed coursework in writing and math education. I have presented at local, state and national math conferences. I was a NH finalist for teacher of the year.
