About Jason

I have taught a plethora of topics to a wide variety of students. Below I have listed those that I am most passionate about.

MATHEMATICS:
Confused and distressed when it comes to numbers? Let's be honest, most teachers just aren't very good when it comes to teaching mathematics. As a result, many people grow up thinking they can't do math. WRONG! You can do Math! You can do Geometry! You can do Algebra!
All you need is someone who can explain it in a way that you can understand and connect with. That's where I come in.
Whether you're looking for a tutor for your k-12 student or pursuing an opportunity to make your life better, I can help you!
I offer math tutoring for beginning students through Algebra 2.

COOKING:
Tired of having to go out to eat so you can have a decent meal? Want to be able to create fabulous meals for your family or maybe that someone special?
I've been cooking for over 25 years and I can show you how to wow your family and friends! I have to warn you though, you might end up having all the family events at your house from now on!

GOLF:
Maybe your looking for a new hobby or maybe its expected of you in your position at work. Young or old, its never too early or too late to learn!
I can't promise you'll make the pro tour, but you will improve your game and a better game makes it more fun; not to mention, less embarrassing!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ASVAB

The ASVAB is very similar to a GED test or the SAT's. It is a general knowledge assessment examination required of those wishing to enlist in the military. Having attained an Associates degree in Liberal Studies heavily concentrated in social sciences as well as a Bachelors and Masters degree in business administration, I have attained an extensive amount of knowledge and have been exposed to numerous teaching and learning methods.
I have tutored several students in preparation for both GED's and the SAT's all of whom performed well in their testing. My cumulative score on the ASVAB was a 98 out of 100 and my cumulative score on the SAT was 1420 out of 1600.

Cooking

I began my working career in the restaurant industry, managing and cooking at restaurants such as Bob Evans, Country Kitchen, and Cracker Barrel. In addition to these experiences, I have dedicated hundreds of hours to learning and developing techniques and recipes that call upon the culinary attributes of cultures around the globe.
Whether your simply looking to learn the basics such as homemade noodles and simple sauces or roasting meats and vegetables, or your looking to advance your skills and wow your family and friends by creating culinary masterpieces like chocolate cream napoleons with dark chocolate port wine sauce or Chicken Chasseur with roasted garlic and herb potatoes; Better cooking is only a phone call away.
