I have enjoyed 21 years working with Special Needs students at all educational levels both at public and private institutions. I have extensive experience as a case coordinator and resource room teacher, working on behavior management with learning disabled students in varied settings at all grade levels.
I have specialized training for students with behavior issues and have experience working with students over a wide range of disabilities (i.e. behavior, emotional, processing disorders, and physical disabilities). I enjoy working one-on-one with students and developing trusting relationships while implementing IEP modifications appropriately and creatively.
I bring a positive attitude and upbeat influence to my students and seek out their strengths to help them learn the best strategies to compensate for their disabilities. I strive to maintain open communication with parents to work collaboratively on the students’ behalf. I enjoy working with children of all ages and customizing my teaching style to each student's individual personality and needs.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
