About Virginia

Bio

As a student I enjoyed math and science, and anything active. As I got older I found history more interesting as a window into the past can be a framework for the present, and also an escape. I began college pursuing a degree in Forensic Chemistry, and eventually changed to Criminal Justice. As a student I loved sports, competing in soccer, track, and basketball. I have found outdoor recreational activities like archery, airsoft, and target shooting more enjoyable as I have grown older.

I have a Master's from The Chicago School for Professional Psychology. I have taught at a local Christian Academy since 2015 in middle school and high school. The subjects I've taught include Math, History, Art, Psychology, Technology, Study Skills, and Gym. In college I was a tutor for the whole Criminal Justice department, and Chemistry up through Organic Chemistry.

I have taught Algebra 1 Honors and Advanced Math in a school setting and am familiar with computer programs that are being used more and more for school math programs. I have also tutored a handful of students including Algebra 2, home-schooled students, Algebra 1, and Prealgebra.
