I am a special education teacher working for Omaha Public Schools looking to help more students be successful. I am starting my second year teaching for Omaha Public Schools. I attended Creighton University and graduated in 2013 with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I attended University of Nebraska- Omaha for the first half of my Masters in Special Education. I am looking to start my masters again this fall. Before I was a teacher, I worked in MIllard Public Schools as a resource paraprofessional and subbed as a paraprofessional and teacher in the Omaha metro area.
I work one on one or in small groups with students in math on a daily basis. I am familiar with elementary grade level math standards and have materials of my own.
I am familiar with readings standards and am not afraid to try new things to help students understand the harder concepts in a fun way.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
