I am fascinated by the learning patterns and development that we, as humans, share and continue to improve on. I love to learn and consequently share what I learn with others. The most rewarding aspect of tutoring is when I am able to share that "aha. I got it!" moment with you!
After discovering my passion for human behavior and dynamics, I decided to attend college and obtain a Bachelor's in Psychology and another one later in Sociology. This was done after much debate (almost 8 different major changes ranging from mathematics to public relations) and deliberation. It was an extraordinary experienced that allowed me to try various fields of study and gave me experience with several different subject areas. I also had the opportunity to tutor at the university I attended in the fields of Math, English, and Spanish. I have since been able to tutor kids, teens, and young adults in several different settings.
I have tutored these subject fields both in school and private settings. I had the chance to be part of the tutoring program at my university. I am bilingual and do not take a cookie-cutter approach to learning.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
