I have many years of teaching experience. I worked effectively one on one with ELL students and as an ESL teacher in International School for almost ten years. I planned and taught whole class and small group lessons periodically, facilitating guided reading, writing, and math groups. I establish positive rapport with students, parents and critical family members, using other languages skills as needed.

I have a lot of different ways to teach math. I explain how math fit into life and how my students will need to know the information when they become adults living in the real world. I consistently deliver a great amount of attention to all of my students, not only in math, but in every other aspect of my students' lives.

Over seven years’ experience teaching Mathematics to students of different backgrounds makes me demonstrated ability to plan a program of study that meets the individual student’s need, interest, and ability. Therefore, I have a proven ability to effectively present educational materials to students on different grade levels. I am able to provide extra time and study programs for one on one teaching for students with slower learning curves. Because of my deep knowledge of Math subject and strong interest in teaching Math, I am passionate toward educating children in mathematics.

I work with students whose first language is not English and I am responsible for helping them improve their vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing and math. I am teaching English as a Second Language to multilingual classes and tailored lessons according to student needs. I work with students in small groups of 3 to 4 to help develop their basic reading and writing skills which helped them improve test taking and study skills. I also, assist school personnel on a variety of issues relating to the education of students in the special education and Limited English Proficiency students. I have a great skill in communicating with varied audiences of cultural diversity. Plus I speak more that one language.

I established positive relationships with students, parents, fellow teachers and school administrators/staff. I motivate students through enthusiastic teaching and creative lessons using manipulative and unique materials. Also, I encourage student participation by creating a supportive and caring classroom environment. I am able to create classroom environment that enable students to learn while keeping students interested and attentive.

With my unbounded love and affection for teaching, I become able to nourish and shape up the whole life of my students through their knowledge, patience, love and care. My main teaching goals is in giving quality education to the students and push them to do their best. As a teacher, I am motivated by the desire to help others to find that same spark of joy in discovering and understanding new concepts. Much of my teaching effort has been spent on developing and teaching the first abstract in 6th grade math, per-algebra and algebra with one-on-one students. I try to pose a series of problems that will gradually develop their powers of analysis and teach them some of the fundamental tools of the trade. In the entire process of teaching and learning, I believe that mutual respect plays a major role. Because I have always considered myself a cultural boundary crosser of some sort or another since my youth, my teaching approach in ESL is to guide my students through the process of English language socialization. Therefore, one of my reasons for choosing a career in teaching ELL was to be of service to others. Having multiple languages encourage my students to capitalize on their strengths and experiences in order to develop their English abilities. This is one of the areas in which I have seen a great deal of change during the years I have been teaching.
I am available for tutoring on Monday and Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. I can travel to the students or meet them online. My rate is $50.00/ hour for in one person and $40.00 for online.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you successfully.
