Hello! My name is Tessa and I am looking for an opportunity to be an online tutor. I work together with students to understand the material rather than simply memorize it. I believe that students learn best when they feel they are being respected and not judged, because every student brings different skills and has different learning styles.

My undergraduate degree majors are in Social Work and Justice and Peace Studies, a major that focused on political sciences, sociology, and history. I have worked in a variety of social work and educational settings including as a licensed social worker with middle school and high school students. I also worked as a health educator, during which time I received grants to create my own curriculums as an employee of a nonprofit that worked with young people ranging from elementary to college students. I have also completed graduate coursework in biochemistry, embryology, microbiology, human biology, physics, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, and organic chemistry.

I worked as a tutor for four years during university with students from elementary school to high school. I was also an assistant teacher at a preschool and pre-K school, primarily working with students on the Autism Spectrum and others with learning differences.
