I have been a music instructor for over 15 years and as an accompanist for various ensembles at two institutions. I enjoy teaching piano and tutoring students in fundamentals of music. I am very excited to began tutoring sessions with students with WyzAnt Tutoring services. My goal is encourage students to strive for excellence in the classroom and to know that they are capable of learning the material that is required for them to graduate.
I will be very flexible in scheduling tutoring sessions and hope that I will be a good mentor to all of my students. I am currently open to tutoring elementary to college students in the area of piano and music theory. I am looking forward to sharing my expertise in the area of piano and theory with students who are having some problems comprehending the subject in a classroom environment. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
