I love to read and I love to write! It is important for young students to learn just how fundamental reading and writing are. As a teacher assistant I have to daily task of working with lower elementary students on their reading and writing skills. It is my goal to meet each student where they are. All students learn differently and it is important to differentiate instruction for each students level. As a tutor, I enjoy working on one one with each student because it gives me a chance to think outside of the box on how to bring them to success in reading and writing. I love to have fun with my students and each tutoring session will be filled with fun and entertaining elements that are directed towards each student's goals. If you are looking for a tutor that will get the strongest results for your student you have come to the right place! Contact me today!

Currently I am employed as a kindergarten teacher assistant. I not only work with kindergarten students but I also have worked with students in all k-6 grade levels on multiple subjects. The curriculum for students in these grade levels stretch out across reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. In my daily workings with students I have to target each of these areas. In reading and writing I am qualified because of my understanding of phonics and how to break them down for individual understanding. Math and science require my understanding of figures and numerical operations and I take pride in my understanding of these areas. Social Studies is one of my favorite subjects. I think it is important for students to have an understanding of important events in our country's history as well as other countries.
As a Kindergarten teach assistant I worked with small groups on phonics. In these small groups we broke down the sounds in each part of different words in order for the student to understand, pronounce and spell the word as a whole. I also worked with first grade students. Breaking words down into smaller parts and sounds were the key to my phonics tutoring.
