I graduated from Duke University with a bachelor of science in Psychology. I currently live in New Orleans as a young doctor of medicine. In addition to being a local undergraduate alumni interviewer, I have a strong track record testing (SATs I and IIs, MCAT), and as such am able to help improve your standardized exam scores and aid in the college admissions process.
My experience includes informal tutoring in the sciences, as well as in the humanities. Furthermore, throughout college I was involved in a Big Sister mentoring program that had a strong, focused academic tutoring component. I attended a Christian school for ten years, and as such am well versed in theology, as well as in the books and stories of the Old and New Testament. In addition, I am classically trained in piano and guitar, as well as in jazz clarinet, and have studied musical history, technique, and theory.
What I offer as a tutor is not only the strategies and skills needed for academic improvement, but a guide for the college admission process - lending insights into what can be done now to make an application stick-out to achieve future dreams.
Despite being a doctor, I have a very flexible schedule. Feel free to contact me with any further questions. I look forward to working with you in the near future to help you achieve your academic and personal goals.
