AAS - University of Central FL (BSBA in Accounting)
My name is Brandon. I have a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Central Florida and graduated back in December of 2012. I have 4+ years of corporate accounting experience working with a couple of manufacturing companies as different types of accountants (including general, cost, and fixed asset). I also worked for a public accounting firm doing taxes while I was in college.
I believe it's not just the book knowledge but also the personal experience of working in the accounting field that I feel will help you understand the "why's" with how journal entries and accounting calculations work. I do have experience with tutoring from back in college - helping classmates and friends who took a course I had previously taken. I enjoy being able to explain and show others how to do something I am well acquainted with and to pass that knowledge along to others.
Having the experience of creating excel spreadsheets from scratch, I know some formulas that are useful in business and in accounting - such as vlookup, hlookup, sumif, if, concatenate, countif, and pivot tables. I can show you how to set up table reference names, filtering, data sorts, text-to-column, and groupings.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
