About Sterling

I’m a recent graduate from the College of Charleston with more than a year of experience in academic coaching/tutoring with college students on time-management and study-skills. I've worked with students who were provisionally accepted to the college, as well as students who were in academic probation.

I also have over a year of experience as a certified behavioral therapist working with children with autism. I received 80+ hours of training for my certification as a behavior therapist, as well as a semester-long course training in preparation for my peer coaching and facilitating positions. I have also spent the last year designing self-management planners based upon behavioral science, and sell them locally and online.

I am applying to graduate school and working in the psychology department at UNCW. I have a passion for helping people meet their goals. I enjoy helping students find something they love about learning and helping them imagine where they can be in the future. I'm always called the life coach, advisor, or therapist to my peers and enjoy helping others meet their potential. I have great communication, time-management, and organization skills. My position as a therapist shaped my confidence, patience, and ability to learn new things, and quickly, when working one-on-one or in small groups. I hope I can help you in what ever skill you need!

I graduated with a minor in Studio Art, but actually met the requirements for a major. I've worked in drawing, painting, and printmaking. I also work mainly with photography and graphic design, as I have designed self-management agenda/planners. I have years of experience with photoshop and tutor people in this area often.

As a coach I challenge students to think about his or her personal and/or professional goals in order to relate them to academic/educational goals. I encourage the student to become more self-aware by understanding his or her strengths, values, interests, purpose, and passion and applying them to their goals.

Feel free to contact me more about helping you make the grade or skill you want!
