About Greg

I have over 23 years as a professional writer, mostly on unique Federal Government projects, but also have published everything from science articles to poetry in my adult life. I have a thorough background in the English language, physical sciences, and American History perspectives. Additionally, my interests extend into geography, astronomy, and meteorology (I have been a volunteer severe weather spotter for NOAA in the past).

I hold undergraduate degrees in Political Science (emphasis on Public Policy) and Geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and graduate level in International Policy from Duke University.

I enjoy seeing others gain benefit from my experience, in giving back, and hope that I might be of service to students seeking to improve themselves and their communities by unlocking their own potential towards a successful professional endeavor.

Professional experience in the nuclear field for the Department of Energy and Department of Defense relating to national defense topics. Have worked hand in hand with some of the nation's finest engineers and scientists in professional efforts. Personally, I have always held an interest in the physical sciences and continue that today as a hobby.

Over 23 years of professional writing experience and command of English language skills. Familiar with all of the standard operating texts of English language use. Considered a subject matter technical expert in my field.

I hold a minor degree in Geography, with a special interest in weather and related phenomena. Also a voracious student of History. "We can't know who we are until we know where we've come from" has always been a distinct qualifier for myself in my perspectives on both American and World evolution.

As a person that is extraordinarily easy to work with, I will gently steer your academic pursuits in the appropriate direction. I am more than happy to assist in research methodology, counsel in appropriate use of language for term paper writing projects, and/or help simplify the education process as you prepare to meet your goals. I'm here to help you succeed.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Political Science

I have a bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My political science degree focused on public policy primarily in the area of Federal legislative activities from a procedural perspective. Additionally, my coursework also included substantial work in international politics, including the spread of Asian communism and the resurgence of Capitalism in those areas.
