Additionally, I collaborate with classroom teachers and families to ensure students are mastering the common core curriculum and prepared to take and pass end of grade testing. Prior to 2013 I worked as a high school math and science tutor. My specialty areas include Algebra 1, Geometry and Biology.
I have duel degrees in both elementary education and special education. Although I love working with all children my special interest lies in teaching children with disabilities to love learning. It is my philosophy that every child can learn. We as teachers just need to learn the best way for it and teach them that way.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
