About Mary

Bio

I have recently retired from teaching in public school. However, I do not want to give up my work with helping students be the best they can be. My algebra scores for the 2011 end-of-year State test showed a 98% pass rate.

I am state licensed for K-9 general education and 6-9 math and language arts/reading. Teaching or working with children has always been a joy. Math is my favorite subject, and I am highly qualified in math.

I sincerely care about each student and they in turn work well for me. In whatever subject I am tutoring, I always ask "why" is that the correct answer. I ask the student to always explain their steps to the answers, e.g. "What did you read in the story to make you think he was sick?" or "Where do you think he is going next?"
