My name is Renée. I am a local tutor/childcare provider with a heart to see kids grow in their education and follow their dreams. I come from a family of teachers— my dad taught science for over 20 years in NC public schools— so I know the benefits of being taught well, both in a homeschool and public environment.
I believe in taking quality time not only to help a student grasp the materials, but also to apply what they've learned to their life. Watching a student become better at what they do makes me happy because they grow and mature, and then should be able to help others as well.
I truly enjoy teaching, and my favorite subjects to teach are reading/writing, English, literature, theology/biblical studies, and paper-writing. I also proofread in the MLA and APA formats, and I am familiar with Turabian.
If there is anything that I can do to help you or your student(s), please let me know. I would be happy to help. Hello,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
