In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am always delighted when students realize that statistics is not as difficult to master as they initially thought. This realization comes because I use a very effective technique to explain the core concepts of central tendency, variability, sampling distributions, description, and inference. With a good understanding of these core concepts, you will be able to confidently complete the calculations of statistics problems and apply your knowledge beyond the tutoring sessions.
I am available to help you obtain a more thorough understanding of the material you have already covered in your statistics class so you can maximize your score on the final exam. It is best to master that material now, not waiting until the last minute before your final. I am also available to help you understand the material you are currently studying. This includes your current homework and preparation for you next midterm exam.
I look forward to working with you as your statistics tutor and helping you discover that statistics is not as difficult as you may have thought!
