As a lifelong learner, I truly enjoy gaining a greater understanding and knowledge of the world around me. From an early age and throughout the years of my formal education, I have always been interested in methods of learning and how to make the process more interesting, enjoyable, and profitable. I am now a graduate student and have a passion to teach and to help others not only comprehend their studies, but to enjoy the process of learning.
I began tutoring as an undergraduate student focusing on the subjects of English, Communications, and Religious Studies. For both my junior and senior years, I offered tutoring services on these subjects. This is due to my own depth of learning, knowledge, and interest in each subject area. I have also held a teaching position at a local church where I have taught courses on different theological subjects.
Qualifications for English, Writing, and Communications:
I enjoy the process of communication through both verbal and written mediums. For this, I have always been rewarded academically with success. I also pursued a minor in English along with a Bachelors of Communications at the undergraduate level.
Qualifications for General Computer Skills:
I have worked in IT Support for the past 3 years. This has given me a greater knowledge base of basic computer concepts and how to work with and troubleshoot issues from a PC platform.
Qualifications for Religious Studies:
I have always been fascinated with the content of philosophical and religious studies. I have also personally and formally studied various aspects of all the major world religions. I currently am pursuing a Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Seminary and enjoy learning and teaching religious studies.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I believe that both my formal and informal education background provides a solid foundation for having the knowledge to tutor this subject. For most of my adult life, I have had an interest in and studied the tenets of major world religions. Also, I am currently a full-time graduate student pursuing a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. This degree track requires the study and comprehension of both Christian and other major religious worldviews.
