I am a Mechanical Engineering professional with an industry background in automotive, building products, manufacturing, software development, and retail. In each role I have held, from entry level to executive management, I have incorporated teaching and training into my work. As an undergraduate student, I served as a Teaching Assistant, leading recitation classes for Honors Physics courses. In addition, served as a Tutor, helping college (and high school) students in mathematics. As a homeschooling parent, I spent countless hours tutoring my children through elementary, middle, and high school years. As a business professional, with Green & Black Belts in Lean Six Sigma I trained many adults in this mathematical and statistically-based process improvement methodology.
In recent years, I have had success in helping students (my children) improve their Math SAT/ACT scores. I am willing to tutor any math class, K-12, any calculus class, math SAT prep, math ACT prep, high school General Science & Physics, and some college classes such as Statics, Dynamics, and Physics (Newtonian mechanics).
I find great joy in helping students turn on the mathematical light in their minds. The students I have tutored have expressed appreciation to me for asking them questions that direct them to figuring out the solutions themselves to the problems they thought they could not solve.
Reach out to me and let me know what is challenging you. I'll let you know right away if I can help. I would be honored to work with you during some lessons.
