I have taught for over 30 years at only three schools. This shows my reliability and success. For the last eight years, I've taught kindergarten through second grade Foreign Language in the Elementary School (FLES) Spanish. FLES means my classes were not immersion classes. I'm confident I can teach any subject at the elementary level. Before that I taught middle school and high school Spanish and English for the rest of my career.
I just retired from teaching for the Department of Defense Educational Activity which means I taught at Camp Lejeune, NC and Roosevelt Roads Middle High School in Ceiba, Puerto Rico. I retired for health reasons meaning I just couldn't keep up with six classes per day of 15-20 elementary students along with all the planning paperwork, assessing, grading, reporting, discipline, meetings, trainings, and extra-curricular activities that go along with a full-time teaching job. I've traveled extensively in Mexico and the U.S. and have plans to travel as much as possible in the future.

I would love the opportunity to teach one-on-one and share my love of learning with any age of person from Pre-K to adult. I have taught for over 30 years at only three schools. This shows my reliability and success. For the last eight years, I've taught kindergarten through second grade … Read more
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
