I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Special Education with a focus on deaf/blind education. I have developed and implemented a life skills training program in St. Paul, MN, taught with St. Paul Public Schools for 7.5, taught with Green Bay Public Schools for 6 years, worked for CESA 8 in Wisconsin for 14 years, and have been employed with Invision Services Inc. in North Carolina since 2015.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with your son or daughter at whatever level is appropriate to their needs.

I have worked with students of all ages, pre-K through grade 12. My focus in on literacy development and independence for each student so that they might succeed and achieve at a level commensurate with their peers and be confident in their skills. I have taught all subject areas as well as levels. I also focus on providing access to the most current techniques, procedures, and technologies utilized by the visually impaired population.

I am extremely familiar with the current braille code. I have taught Braille since 1984 to adults as well as children and have completed the UEB Online Course. I have access to Duxbury Braille Translation software as well as an embosser to produce hard copy braille.

Literacy is a priority for all my students.

I consider myself knowledgeable in my qualifications to teach reading and writing and I push my students to strive to become the best they can be in all aspects of their lives.

Please contact me if you have any interest in pursuing or improving your knowledge and use of Braille. I am also willing to tutor in all subject areas, providing braille curricular materials to expand your experiences and/or to utilize the materials that you are currently being require
