Master's graduate of Duke University where I studied public policy after obtaining a psychology degree from Penn State. I've worked with individuals in a variety of informal teaching and review sessions including economics, econometrics, statistics, and psychology. I love teaching individuals and helping them build skills, knowledge and confidence to allow them to master material and continue to advance to more difficult material. I work with individuals to break down difficult questions and material to ensure they first have a solid foundation of knowledge from which they can build upon in their future education endeavors.
I've successfully completed an academic course that taught advanced skills in Microsoft Excel that were later directly applied in various positions, such as at the Government Accountability Office, as a Graduate Assistant at Duke University, and Research Associate at Penn State University.
I have a Bachelor's in Science in Psychology where I completed a variety of courses in focus areas such as cognitive, developmental, personality, positive psychology & well-being, abnormal, and cross-cultural psychology. I also completed advanced courses in forensic psychology, developmental psychology, and biological psychology.
I have completed a variety of writing intensive courses in both my undergraduate and graduate education. These courses include rhetoric & composition, effective communication, and policy analysis. In addition to these courses, I have published academic articles in which I conveyed complex and technical material in a concise manner. My Master's degree specifically stressed the importance of effective and concise communication, skills I directly applied as an intern at the Government Accountability Office and Graduate Communications Assistant at Duke University.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you succeed in your education. I cannot wait to share my knowledge and skills to better prepare you for whatever lies ahead!
