I am from Ukraine and fluent in three languages: Ukrainian, Russian and English. I graduated from Pedagogical University in Ukraine and got a degree in teaching English. For three years in Ukraine I was working as a private English tutor. I had students of different ages. During my practice, I worked with little kids to introduce them to the basics of the language. I worked with school students of different ages, helping them with their homework and preparation for their upcoming tests. My work with adults, most of the time, was helping them to bring their English to a conversational level. I have experience working with students one-on-one as well is in a small group.

While living in Ukraine I attended a lot of training courses on public speaking. It helped me to overcome my shyness and stage fright. For about half a year I assisted my teacher with training other students in this field of expertise. I believe that no one can teach you better than the person who walked in your shoes.

Natalia was both knowledgeable and patient during the lesson. She was careful to assess my language capability and craft the lesson to my needs. She can answer questions and provide explanations that make sense to the novice speaker! Her approach to teaching is sensible and creates a self-paced, un-rushed learning environment. She is located around Cary, which is unfortunately too far for me to continue lessons.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
