I have been a teacher for 13 years. I have taught in New York City, Wake County, and Durham County. I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Master of Science degree in Special Education from the The City College of New York. And recently, I earned a Master of School Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
I have a patient and warm rapport with students and enjoy seeing them master new concepts. As your tutor, you will have an engaging and fun learning experience. I am available Monday through Saturday. My hours will be flexible during the summer and can meet from 9am-8pm.
I possess proficient skills in English grammar, proofreading, and application of the writing process to ensure the drafting of well-written papers. I also possess proficiency in providing students with strategies that will make them successful readers.
Having extensive experience in elementary education, I will provide excellent learning experiences in the subject areas of Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I hold active NC Teaching licenses in K-6 General Education and K-12 Special Education. In addition to licensure, I have been a classroom teacher for 13 years. I have experience with moving students forward academically.
