University of North Carolina at Greensboro (Early Child Educatio)
I graduated last year from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. My major was Human Development and Family studies with a concentration in birth-Kindergarten. I have had student internships with children ranging from infancy to late elementary school. I did my student teaching at a Kindergarten classroom. I created lesson plans that went along with age appropriate material that created an enriching environment for the students. I also developed my teacher-parents relationship skills and faculty relationship skills. I enjoy working with people of all ages and engaging in meaningful activities.
I have taught children how to read the Hebrew language and I assess the information they already know. I take from the child's independent knowledge and set goals for where he or she can continue to practice. I want to excel a child's ability to learn in a fun and meaningful way.
Elementary aged students are so vibrant to work with. The children are eager to learn and I enjoy helping in any way that I can. I am able to make a happy environment for children in learning. I am nurturing and supportive of children's needs. I am patient with children and want them to have the best outcome possible. I am able to adjust techniques and approaches to meet the learning styles of the student.
I would encourage you to contact me if you would like a confident, honest, and and professional tutor. I am very flexible in my schedule and make it a priority to benefit the student and family. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
