I am a married father of 4 children (who are currently in High School and College), and for over two decades I have tutored and mentored hundreds of students ranging in age from 7 to 82, elementary school students to Ph.D. candidates. Online tutoring has enabled me to help students from over 40 U.S. states, and several foreign countries.

I graduated summa cum laude from Duke University with straight A's in Math, Computer Science and Engineering classes, but more importantly, I have helped many students improve their test scores and course grades by multiple letters (for example from F to B, from C to A, etc.). Many of my AP Computer Science students have earned a 5 (top score) on the AP exam.

Helping you (or your daughter or son) succeed is the reason why I tutor. I can (and do) make more money per hour doing computer consulting, but I get great personal enjoyment and fulfillment helping students of any age overcome their challenges and reach their goals.

Your success is important to me, and I look forward to helping you.

Excellent in all regards

I have used dozens of tutors for my kids over the years with very mixed results. Very rarely have we found a truly excellent tutor. We chose Bob to help with 12th grade AP Computer Science. A very challenging course. I always try to find tutors who are experience with the specific course as opposed to a tutor for the subject. In my experience he is the better than any tutor we have ever used. He works with you on scheduling. He is highly highly familiar with that course and subject matter . He is an excellent communicator and teacher. If you need an AP computer science tutor look no further,

One of the best tutors I've ever had

Bob was an extremely patient and understanding tutor. If there is something in particular that I didn't understand, he will take the time to explain it in a very approachable and easy to digest manner. In my opinion, he has been on of the best tutors I have ever had, and if you are looking for some extra help with java I think that Bob is an absolutely fantastic choice and I absolutely recommend him.

Bob is an amazing tutor

He taught me how to approach problems and then translate those problems into code. He helped me with homework, and explained very thoroughly the thought process. Outstanding!

Great tutor

Bob is very patient when he teaches. He takes time to explain things to his students and does not get upset if they don’t understand. He is very soft spoken and gives great real world examples that help students to understand the code.

Great tutor

Hired Bob to help my son last minute find his mistakes in his college project in OOC programming. My son is always hesitant to ask for any help but after talking with Bob he was extremely happy I made him the online appointment. Bob shared into his laptop and went over all the code with him teaching him better ways to look at it and where his mistakes were. He came away for the session with a completely new outlook regarding his coding and with a new outlook on getting the aid from an expert like Bob to help him compete his project and understand better like having your own personal professor on the phone with you. Great session and my thanks to Bob for all his help.

Expert at explaining

Bob taught me arrays and a little about how Java worked. It was a good experience honestly and I think I am starting to see the light at the end of Intro to Java's tunnel.
