William is a very thorough and experienced instructor/tutor. He really listens to the needs of the student and parent. I would highly recommend him.
William is very accommodating with his schedule and has been very helpful. We look forward to working with him this semester.
Reid enjoyed the passion that William has in the topic of chemistry. It was helpful that William had videos ready you're and discuss since Reid is a visual learner. I can tell after a few sessions, Reid will have more confidence in his ability to do well in Honors Chem.
My son likes Mr. W and feels the one-on-one tutoring is a great help. Mr. W makes sure that he and my son have a quiet place to study at the library with no distractions. He informs me of what was covered, and what he and my son are going to work on at the next session. He has a passion for teaching and it showed from the first time we talked. Mr. W also praises my son which gives him the confidence that he needs to do well. A great big thank you to Mr. W being available at a time that suits my family's busy schedule.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
