With 26 years of experience I identify each student’s strengths and areas in need of improvement to raise each student's grades and test scores with practical, effective strategies. A life-long learner myself, I successfully tutor multiple subjects and SAT, ACT, and ASVAB tests. Students who work with me routinely raise SAT scores by 100-250 points (old SAT) and ACT scores by 3-5 composite points. Further, my brother has a profound learning disability; I have an intimate understanding of the academic struggles of these students. Many students with learning disabilities enjoy learning with me because of my patience and ability to connect with the student and his or her specific learning style. Your son or daughter will be successful. I look forward to hearing from you. Free Consultation.

Perfect tutor for impossible class

Howard did a perfect job in tutoring an impossible class. I was taking an online Intro to Logic course with a professor who didn't teach out of a book and who wouldn't respond to questions. The class started off with a low score on the first exam and didn't get much better until I was desperate for help. Initial meeting with Howard was simply to explain what the course was, provide any material that I had, and go over what I needed to get in the course to graduate. Howard did an amazing job at listening to my goals as well as doing his own research to simply understand how this professor was teaching the subject. My first exam after working with him was a 100! With my initial goal of simply getting a passing grade in the class in order to graduate, Howard was able to help me get a B+. All of this was only in a time span of 6 weeks. Simply put, I couldn't have a better understanding of Logic with out his help.

Very helpful with study skills

Howard helped my son work on study skills to prepare him for his junior year in high school. Howard is patient and presents tactics in a variety of ways to be sure they "stick". My son enjoyed working with Howard and learned a lot from him so he feels much more confident now. We will not hesitate to call Howard if we need tutoring in the future!
