Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ADHD

I have a Masters of Education in Special Education. While obtaining my degree we learned about all of the various disabilities one of which is ADD/ADHD. I currently teach Special Education students in a resource classroom setting. I have several students who are diagnosed with ADHD who are on my caseload. Students with ADHD typically require more hands on activities to keep them engaged.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Prior to obtaining my teaching license I worked as a Teacher Assistant in a Pre K class for children with Autism. I currently have two students on my caseload with Autism.
