I’ve worked in a synthetic chemistry lab, gaining firsthand experience with reactions like Heck coupling, Click chemistry, and N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) catalysis. I've also written multiple ACS-style research papers based on my lab work, including original figures and NMR analysis.
I've been tutoring organic chemistry informally for over a year, primarily working one-on-one with undergraduate students. Many of the students I've helped were in their first or second year of college and initially found the subject overwhelming. My tutoring approach breaks down complex topics like reaction mechanisms, synthesis planning, stereochemistry, and spectroscopy into manageable, intuitive concepts. Every student I've worked with has significantly improved their grades and left the course with a stronger grasp of the material and in some cases, even started to enjoy the subject! My goal is not just to help students pass, but to ensure they truly understand the why behind organic chemistry so they can apply it long after the class ends.
