I have over 26 years of experience in professional consulting and substitute teaching in the school system. I have two teenagers who have been involved in school academics, clubs, and extracurricular activities and I understand the curriculum and demands placed on students inside and outside the classroom. And I know the importance of building good study habits, meticulous attention to detail and organizational, time management skills and in placing your best effort in the work prepared for school. I will assist your student in organizing their time, breaking the workload into achievable goals and succeeding at study skills for examinations and writing effective papers and essays. I want to see all students be successful in achieving their goals while attaining their dreams beyond the classroom. One of my main objectives is to instill self-confidence and self-esteem in the student while building proficiency and organizational tools that will last a lifetime. I also have a in depth knowledge of college entrance exams as both of my children have taken and prepped for these tests including the SAT and ACT. I have also been a librarian at a local private school for over 8 years and am very familiar with reading comprehension and reading programs for students. I would be happy to assist your student with reading, writing essays for college applications and for scholarships, and with test and exam preparation in the sciences, social studies and English courses.
