Hello. My name is Joe Le. I have been teaching for 16 years. I taught 6th grade math and science for 2 years, 8th grade science for 12 years and for the last 2 years I have been teaching biology, earth science, and advanced zoology. My bachelor's degree is in biology with a minor in life-earth science. My master's degree is in science education. Currently, I am working on a certification from UNCG in Instructional Technology Facilitator. I have experience in teaching 6th - 12th graders, but also tutored an elementary student and a college student before. I have experience with EOG's and EOC state exams. The only science subjects I probably would not be very comfortable in tutoring would be physics or advanced and AP Chemistry. Other than that I have a strong content base. I love science and proudly call myself a science nerd!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
