I have always enjoyed school and find comfort in the learning environment.
I am currently a flight instructor with thousands of hours of dual instruction given and have been doing so since 2003. I have also been an instructor of the martial arts teaching both tae kwon do and jiu jitsu. My background has allowed me to teach students both young and old.
I am now attending university in pursuit of a BS in physics with a math minor. My goal is to continue my education to acquire the skills and knowledge required to teach physics at the college level.
As a pilot and flight instructor, I have seen the direct application of many math disciplines in aviation. I get excited when I can show a student the practical application of mathematics and encourage them to continue studying it.
We use the concepts of physics in our daily lives, but rarely take the time to understand and apply those concepts even to the simplest of tasks. I have a varied background that helps me to illustrate concepts to a variety of students. I have always enjoyed school and find comfort in the learning environment.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
