I have over 20 years of experience with children as a mother and a certified teacher (10+ years). I have a B.A. in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Infant/Toddler Early Childhood Special Education. My experience with children of all ages and stages include typical developing children as well as children with special needs. I have worked in daycare settings, preschools, special education preschools, and elementary schools. I'm passionate about teaching children and love to integrate fun activities and lessons where children can learn through their senses and enjoy themselves. I'm a self-starter, professional, reliable, and sincerely a genuine person. I teach core academic subjects from preschool-6th grade. My many years of experience as an elementary teacher qualifies me to tutor students who need some assistance understanding skills and concepts that are challenging. I utilize different teaching strategies that are focused on individual learning so it's more personalized for the student. Prior to Covid-19, I was working for an agency as an Early Intervention Child Development Specialist, teaching homeschooled children and also a substitute teacher (background check approved). I'm currently a virtual teacher and also tutoring children that are homeschooled. I'm available M-F daytime (virtual only) and afternoon hours (virtual or in-person).
