Karyn has helped my son who is 8th Grade become more confident in algebra-1, she is patient and makes sure he understands a concept before moving on. She explains everything with great detail and made sure my son knew what he was doing.

I would suggest her to anyone looking for a reliable and over the top helpful tutor.

Karyn is a knowledgeable and thoughtful tutor. We were so happy to meet Karyn and will meeting again this school semester!

Karyn has made such a difference with my son in a very short amount of time. She is extremely knowledgeable and explains math concepts in a way that is easy to understand. Karyn is very patient and has a great personality. We wouldn't use anyone else!

Lesson was great. Am learning a lot from Karyn. She explains things in detail and I have a better understanding of the material. All lessons so far have been very helpful and I have learned a lot.

Karyn was very friendly and easy to work with. She was prepared to teach the subject matter I was having difficulty with and made it easy for me to learn. I intend to continue working with her to master the necessary math skills to succeed in AFM. She is great and I would recommend her to anyone looking to improve their math skills. Many

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am currently tutoring a student in Math 1 and the topic for the last two months has been linear algebra. Typical results or not, her test grades have gone from a 19 to a 98 and she continues to have success on tests as we move into linear inequalities. We have covered graphing linear equations, x and y intercepts, using the point slope equation, using two coordinates on a line to solve for slope, slope as rise over run, writing Next/Now equations and solving systems of two linear equations via graphing, substitution and elimination.

I also teach Math 1 as a substitute teacher at our local high school.
