As a Cum Laude graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education/Special Education, I understand that you have to be dedicated and work hard when it comes to learning. I have had the enjoyment of working with students in kindergarten through Fifth grade since 1975. Moreover; I have had the pleasure of seeing non-readers matriculate into being successful readers. The position that I hold now is with 1st and 2nd grade combination classroom with students who struggle with reading and math.
My specialty is in reading, phonics, and phonemic awareness, along with elementary math. My goal is to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to learn. I routinely give formative assessments to ensure that the student has grasped the content that he or she has been taught.
I am available to tutor every afternoon except Thursdays from 5:00 - 8:00 pm in the winter. I am flexible in the summer while school is out. I will travel to students. I also offer lesson packets at a discount.
I look forward to hearing from you, and helping you meet your educational goals.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
