About Erika

I currently have three years of teaching experience working with elementary and middle school students. My first teaching position was in Michigan as a resource room teacher for middle school students. In this role, I worked with students in the areas of reading and mathematics with specific help on individual skills and also help on their class work. After working in that role for a year and a half, I began working at a center based program with students with severe and multiple disabilities. In this role, my students did not learn traditionally and we worked with a lot of teacher created modified curriculum. In April of 2014, I moved from Michigan to North Carolina where I am currently a special education teacher with the base schools at Camp Lejeune.
