For over 10 years, I have loved assisting students throughout their educational careers. I have witnessed some major achievements and much academic growth. I enjoy getting to know my students and their unique needs and I have a great deal of experience in identifying and working through the individual's struggles. I have spent time and energy in fine-tuning my tutoring methods for algebra, geometry, and elementary math. I have tutored individuals in courses across the board, trying to impart a foundation of sound study skills as well as assisting in knowledge retention and understanding. I have tutored in California, Peru, and now North Carolina, and have taught in preschool classrooms, elementary after-school programs, in high school, and served as a personal educational assistant to many, from college level to early childhood. Whether it's overcoming test anxiety, preparing for a test, writing an "A" essay, learning to read or write, or acquiring any math skill, I would like to help you.

Natalie is very upbeat, far from boring and knowledgeable in various areas. She is passionate in her teachings and a huge inspiration to me to want to learn even more from her. I highly recommend her for a tutor.
My son was preparing to take his SATs and needed some help with his college algebra skills. I found Natalie K. on WyzAnt. During the interview process, I was very impressed with her knowledge and patience. She helped my son achieve his goal but she also set him up with a foundation of learning that he continues to use today. I could not thank Natalie enough for her help. She is the best!
Natalie was a true life Saver.
With just 3 weeks left in the semester, my daughter found herself on the border line with respect to a passing grade. Her confidence was shaken and she was stressed to say the least. I found Natalie on WyzAnt and was impressed by her profile. After a short e-mail exchange, we conducted a phone con during which I explained my daughter's situation.
Most tutors would have waived off on the challenge, but Natalie discussed a plan with me that gave me a high level of assurance for success. She met with my daughter as many times as was necessary to prepare her for the final test and the final exam. Also, her flexibility with respect to my daughter's schedule was much appreciated.
Bottom Line: My daughter passed the class and gained a clearer understanding of the material.
Fact: Without Natalie's commitment, professionalism, encouragement, and tutorial abilities, my daughter would not have been able to recover and pass her class.
Natalie is helping my daughter at ECU with Spanish and she has been so helpful and patient. My daughter has struggled with this subject and will often just get frustrated and quit. Having a tutor makes her sit down and focus and work through the tough spots so that she can learn. Natalie is so helpful!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
