I am Paul W. H. I recently moved to Denver, NC from Rockville, MD. I taught high school mathematics in the Montgomery County Public Schools System from January 1971 through retirement in June of 2001. Since 2001 I have been substitute teaching in high school mathematics at various high schools in Montgomery County including the prestigious Poolesville High School Magnet program in a long term substitute situation. The school is notable for its emphasis on math and science studies in the county.
I am looking forward to tutoring here in the Denver, NC area. We have four daughters who have all excelled in their collegiate work at the College of Charleston, Virginia Tech, York College of Pennsylvania and the University of South Carolina.

Paul was very patient when reviewing materials/problems during our first session. I feel that Paul having been a high school teacher is beneficial, as he helped identify math problem areas and how to approach them based on my learning style. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
