About Beth

I am an elementary school teacher with a Masters in teaching from Oglethorpe University. I have always enjoyed math and language, ever since I was a student myself, and would love to help your student develop a passion for them as well!
Additionally, I have a great deal of experience in extracurricular arts such as sewing and music, and would love to pass these skills on to others.
I have experience tutoring elementary school students all the way up through graduate school students and have never met a student I couldn't help.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Piano

I have been playing the piano for 25 years. I have taken several music courses, including those with a strong focus on music theory. I also have a degree in education, and I use this knowledge in my teaching approach for all subjects.

Sewing

I have extensive personal sewing experience. I have sewn craft projects, clothing, linens, costumes, and decorative gifts. I am proficient with advanced sewing techniques as well as with basic concepts such as hemming, sewing buttons, and repairing seams.

Very Knowledgeable and easy to work with. — One of my favorite things about having Beth as my daughter's tutor is not only is she helping her with math, she is also rebuilding her confidence in it! Thank you! ...
