Through the years, I have been a Minister/Director of Christian Education, Social Worker, and a Basic Skills Instructor. I have a major interest in teaching Bible Studies and helping people learn about religions. As a Basic Skills Instructor, I helped students improve in areas of writing, spelling and vocabulary. While serving as a Minister of Youth several years ago, a workshop was done to help the youth improve their Study Skills. This was done with help from the National Honor Society in the local high school in that community.
I also have an interest in playing the guitar, and in 2013 assisted in teaching a Guitar Class for Children and youth in the church where I was on staff. This was a popular undertaking not only with the parents, but also some children in the community joined in.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a B.A. in Religious Studies from Lenoir-Rhyne College (University) in Hickory, NC and a MDiv/RE Degree from Southeastern Baptist Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. I have kept my skills in Bible Study Current by attending Sunday School regularly and also being a Substitute Sunday School Teacher regularly through the years. I also have several years experience as a Minister/Director of Christian Education.
I have been playing the guitar since third grade. I took 2 semesters of Guitar Class in College. While at my last church as a staff member, I assisted in teaching a basic guitar class for Children, Youth, and Adults. I am preparing to teach an adult in my home church how to play the guitar.
I have passed the qualification tests for Reading, Spelling, and Language on WyzAnt. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory, NC and have a Master of Divinity with Religious Education from Southeastern Seminary Wake Forest, NC. I have worked with children not only in the Church Setting, but also in the Social Work Setting. For nearly four years, I was a Basic Skills Instructor at a community college (2003-2007).
With a B.A. in Religious Studies, and a MDIV/RE Degree, I am qualified to tutor in this area. It is fascinating to learn about subjects in religion while helping others with this. I have also serve as a Minister/Director of Christian Education for several years.
