I have read and studied the Bible for numerous years. From Genesis in the Old Testament to Malachi, and from Matthew in the New Testament to Revelation. I have a deep respect and enjoyment for reading and developing an understanding for the Word of God. The key to teaching and learning the Bible is a love for God's Word.
In college, my studies were primarily on the New Testament with particular emphasis on the gospels. In my private studies I often do word or subject studies of Scriptures. My preferred Bible version is the King James and the New King James versions and I also use Strong's Concordance along with my Thompson New Chain Reference King James Bible.
I have been playing chess for over 40 years. I can instruct others in how to move each of the pieces from the pawns to the rooks, bishops, knights, queen, and king. I can teach them the rules of chess and explain about castling and stalemate. I can show them the basic strategies and how to protect their key pieces as well as mistakes to avoid.
I have taught others how the pieces move and spent time playing with them and showing them the quickest way to win and to lose the game of chess. I genuinely enjoy playing chess and this will be reflected in the manner that I teach.
I have been working with computers for over 25 years. I have taken them apart, replaced parts within the tower, and put them together. In college I ordered a case, motherboard, hard drive and disk drives and assembled them and set the system up using Microsoft XP operating system.
I have put in memory chips and changed out power supplies. This experience has taught me all the parts of the computer and how the computer works including the boot sequence.
I can teach someone all of the computer basics from hooking up the computer tower, monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and printers. I can teach them how to navigate the start up menu and task bar, find programs, look for files and programs, and to do word processing and other programs. I can help students navigate the internet and/or set up virus protection on their computer. My experience with hardware, software, knowledge of how computers work, and how to navigate and perform tasks on computers qualifies me to teach others.
