This is my 9th year teaching math all over NC. I have taught algebra1, Foundations of Algebra, Algebra2, Foundations of Advanced Algebra, Selected Topics, & Tech Math 1&2. I have taught at Title 1 schools and non title 1, Extreme minority schools and your average melting pot schools. I am currently teaching at a high school in Hickory North Carolina.
My current curriculum is math one and math two. I live in Lenoir and work in Hickory and I am open to working in either town or surrounding area. My area of most comfort in teaching is the algebras.
In the past I have worked for Sylvan learning Center in multiple cities. In Charlotte I worked with the Mecklenburg County schools through Sylvan learning Center at a middle school, tutoring twice a week. In Fayetteville I worked most of the year with middle and high school students. I have pretty much taught every type of individual you could possibly come up with. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
