I am currently an English/Special Education teacher at South Brunswick Middle School. I have been working in education for the past nine years. In that time, I have been a special education liaison, a special education consultant, a Director of Special Education, and an English teacher for middle and high school classes. I have an undergraduate degree in English, a Master's degree in special education, and certification in both areas. Further, I have extensive experience with IEPs, transition planning, Applied Behavior Analysis, positive behavior supports, behavior intervention plans, data collection, and other intricate strategies for success. As a tutor, I look forward to working with students who need support with reading fluency, reading comprehension, writing (and all conventions therein), and working with individuals with autism.

As a dually certified teacher, and someone with experience working with all types of learners as a special educator, I know how to address the unique learning style that each student presents. I am thoroughly experienced in differentiating instruction and reaching learners of all abilities and levels. Working with students on different levels, and approaching their learning in individualized ways, is the main reason why I love working as a special educator; it is also the main reason why I hold so much confidence in my ability to achieve success as an outside tutor.
