My name is Kevin and I am available for tutoring in AutoCAD, Inventor, Microsoft Excel and Algebra. I have used CAD and solid modeling for over twenty years including working as a design engineer with various electro-mechanical products and then teaching at both the high school and community college levels. I have taught many levels of drafting, including AutoCAD and Inventor as well as pre-engineering courses and computer engineering.
When tutoring I like to work toward a specific goal with each session, usually a specific problem or set of problems that a student has been assigned. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have used AutoCAD for over 25 years in doing mechanical design. I have 12 years of engineering experience with industrial products. I have taught several levels of drafting including AutoCAD at high school and community college for the last eight years.
I have worked with PC hardware and software since mid 1980's. This includes setup, troubleshooting, and repair of all types hardware, OS installation (from DOS thru Windows 7 and Linux), and all types of application installation and setup. Some networking experience, especially home networks. Certifications include CompTia A+, Network+, and Microsoft MCP. I have taught Computer Engineering Technology in high school.
