My name is Dr. Chris B., and my specialty is organic chemistry. I have worked as a medicinal chemist and have taught college level organic chemistry for many years.
Organic chemistry can seem like an impossible subject for many, but it CAN BE DONE!!! Many of my former students said they were very grateful for my ability to make the complex seem simple. I have a great love and respect for the subject, and I pride myself on my ability to make all the various topics very clear. If you are a hard worker and you read and read, and study and study, but still aren't making headway, I can show you the way. I have many former students who are now in medical school, because they were able to pass the organic chemistry portion of the MCAT. Having a student tell me that I helped them get into medical school makes it all worth it for me.
So avoid the confusion and dread of organic chemistry. I'm here to make it all understandable.
I am also a pianist and I worked for years as a professional musician before I decided to pursue a chemistry degree.
I have taught classical piano for over forty years. I teach all ages, and all skill levels. I have done extensive remedial teaching and if you are having difficulties with piano I can diagnose your problems and show you how to fix them. I specialize in Beethoven, Mozart, and Chopin, and I work quite a bit with interpretation and musicality.
If you need a good piano teacher, I'm your man.
Whether teaching piano or organic chemistry, I focus on the positive and I am very easygoing and non-judgmental. I want students to feel comfortable and confident of their abilities. My message is simple: you can do this!! My name is Dr. Chris B., and my specialty is organic chemistry. I have worked as a medicinal chemist and have taught college level organic chemistry for many years.
Organic chemistry can seem like an impossible subject for many, but it CAN BE DONE!!! Many of my former students said they were very grateful for my ability to make the complex
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Ph.D., Organic Chemistry, University of Wisconsin-Madison
I have a Ph.D. In organic chemistry from UW-Madison.
I've worked ten years as a medicinal chemist, and five years as an adjunct chemistry professor. I have tutored many students in the past.
I studied piano with a retired concert pianist for ten years, beginning at age 8. I worked as a professional musician for several years, before I began working as a scientist. I've had piano students since I was 15 years old. I teach private lessons, beginners to advanced. Many of my students are advanced and have been taking lessons from me for years.
I can teach you to play the piano, and play it well!
