Hello! My name is Kathy and I love math and logic; so much that I majored in Math and Computer Science. I have over 20 years of professional experience in the Business and Technology realms and a over 3 years of being a Home School teacher to my high school son (currently in 12th grade). My son has excelled in his work being home schooled and according to the standardized tests he took (Seton Testing and Iowa Testing), he was 2 grades above his current grade level.

I enjoy helping others learn math and really, any subject! Some tell me that I should have been a teacher. I use various methods and examples to help my children understand their homework; trying to fit those examples into real life situations or problems or gearing them towards the interest of the student. I believe that learning should be fun while also understanding that some things may be hard to get or that you just don't like. I will take the time to understand how the student best learns before beginning to tutor him/her. I am a Math and Computer Science Major and my first job out of college was programming. While programming bored me, you have use logic and basic math principles in order to program successfully. After spending 20 years in the professional business arena, managing a team of 17 employees in the program/project management, system development and infrastructure, process improvement, communications and quality assurance functions, I am qualified to tutor many of the subjects that fall in these functions.
